About Well Made Desk
Well Made Desk is a curated catalogue of home office equipment — desks, task chairs, monitor mounts and the accessories around a workspace.
What this site does
Two things. We keep a catalogue of equipment worth owning, each product on its own page with a plain description and the specifications that actually decide the purchase for its category — seat depth and warranty length for a chair, depth and edge thickness for a desk. And we write guides explaining what those specifications mean, so the catalogue is useful to someone who does not already know what they are looking for.
Products are grouped into collections built around a situation rather than a category — a first home office, a desk for a small room — because that is closer to how people actually shop. Pricing comes from retailer feeds and is re-checked daily; items that go out of stock are hidden automatically.
What we don't do
We don't publish hands-on reviews, and we don't claim to have tested the products listed here. Product details come from retailer feeds. Where we summarise a product, that summary is drawn from the specifications the retailer supplies. Our guides explain how a category works — which specifications matter and why — rather than ranking individual products we have not used.
We also don't put prices in prose. Written text goes stale the moment a retailer changes a number, and we have no process for re-editing published writing. Prices appear only where they are pulled live from the feed.
How this is paid for

Where this site is right now
Early. The catalogue is being built out and the guides are being written. We'd rather say that plainly than imply a scale we don't have.
